If Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Quinyon Mitchell is hoping to have a career in professional wrestling after his NFL career winds down, he’s got some work to do. On Sunday, WWE boss Paul Levesque, fka, Triple H, made sure to point that out to Mitchell.
Mitchell and the Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers in Sunday’s Wild Card Weekend matchup. The victory was sealed when Mitchell intercepted a pass from Green Bay’s Jordan Love in the end zone. Mitchell, a first-round pick of the Eagles in 2024, didn’t intercept a pass during the regular season. So, he could be forgiven for having a rusty celebration — which appeared to be the case here.
As part of the celebration, Mitchell delivered the Pedigree to fellow rookie cornerback, Cooper DeJean. For those who don’t know, Triple H used the Pedigree as his finishing move during his in-ring career.
To put it mildly, Mitchell’s version of the move needs some work.
Triple H noticed the Pedigree gone wrong and had some fun with Mitchell.
“There’s a reason we say ‘Don’t try this at home’…congrats on the win Quinyon & @Eagles,” he said.
While the Pedigree is undeniably Triple H’s move, Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes used it simultaneously during a match at Wrestlemania 40 — which, like Sunday’s game — was held at Lincoln Financial Field.
We’d say that Mitchell has some work to do. But before mastering the Pedigree, we’d also say that he shouldn’t quit his day job.
