WWE star Ridge Holland is making serious claims against wrestling fans on social media.
Holland was involved in a terrible accident that occurred in early 2022. During a wrestling match that featured him and superstar Big E, Holland delivered a move to Big E on the outside. Unfortunately, during the move, E landed hard and broke his neck.
Since that incident, Holland claims he’s received death threats, his family’s received threats, and others have called for his job.
“Death threats. Threats to my family. Lobbying for me to lose my job. Being labeled as racist. Great stuff keep ‘em coming,” Holland tweeted on Sunday night.
Big E hasn’t wrestled since and he talked about his situation and where it stands right now.
“I gotta see what the scans say,” E said to TMZ Sports. “Talk to doctors, and then go from there.” “Right now, before I know anything, I’m not going to make any rush to judgments or anything. See how everything looks.”
As far as his relationship with Holland, they seem to be on good terms. E even said that he knows the danger in WWE and the sport at large.
But his explanation still hasn’t gone over well with some wrestling fans who accuse Holland of being racist. However, E’s tag team partner and friend Xavier Woods, who is also Black, came to Holland’s defense on Twitter.
“Pro Wrestling is extremely dangerous,” Woods, who goes by the stage name Austin Creed on his popular YouTube gaming series, Up Up, Down Down. “All of us involved understand that. Ridge & his family do not deserve to be treated this way. Please do not send any hate towards them. Instead use your energy to do something positive like sending love to E. Be kind. Please be kind.”
Hopefully, Woods’ comments take the heat off off Holland.
