The Indiana Fever have had to make do without the services of phenom Caitlin Clark, as the All-Pro has missed over two weeks as she works her way back from a quad injury.

For that matter, the entire WNBA has had to make do without Clark’s services, as there have been massive financial ramifications from her absence, per one prominent news outlet.

Yahoo Sports reported that television ratings have been down 55% with Clark off the floor. Luckily, Clark is set to return for Saturday’s Comissioner’s Cup game against the New York Liberty.

Fans reacted to the impact of her absence on social media.

“This league going to fold because they can’t protect this girl. She is the most exciting woman athlete to watch,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Nike still pushing products for people that no one gave a crap about 2 years ago. Great players, but this league is still flying coach and playing in HS gyms if not for CC. Full stop,” one fan added.

“Nothing against the players in the league. But It’s just the fact that Caitlin is the Steph Curry of the league. She brings eyeballs that love the excitement of her play style and her personality off the court. These are the things ppl were begging of the players of the past,” another fan added.

Hopefully, Clark can stay healthy for the rest of the season.
