The Indiana Fever are focused on climbing the WNBA standings and putting themselves in position to take advantage of their massive home-court advantage in the first round of the WNBA playoffs at the end of summer.
Unfortunately, the Fever may have to find a way to win games without their most important piece, point guard Caitlin Clark. Clark injured her groin last Tuesday, preventing her from participating in the WNBA three-point contest and All-Star game.
There was hope that Clark would be cleared to return to action in the Fever’s first game after the All-Star break, a Tuesday matchup against the New York Liberty.
However, it appears that Clark isn’t likely to be available for the game, according to on Fever reporter.
“Stephanie White says she doesn’t anticipate Caitlin Clark to be available against New York on Tuesday. Says she’s going to meet with some doctors and get some more evaluations on her right groin injury early this week,” reported Chloe Peterson on Sunday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“This is bad! Caitlin is meeting a new set of doctors to get a second opinion on Monday. Maybe it’s time to shut down the 2025 season and tune back in 2026,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“For her to be getting a 2nd opinion that is NOT a good sign. She might be out until the end of the season,” someone else added.
“I just pray she gets proper rest and makes good progress with her rehab to get back to 100%,” one fan added.
Hopefully, Clark gets the proper medical attention to get her back to 100%.
