For over two decades, LeBron James has been the face of the NBA, serving as the league’s biggest star. Now, Caitlin Clark is holding that role for the WNBA as she steps into another season in her young career, and it sounds like she has James’ support.
Clark and the Indiana Fever are set to begin their season on Saturday with a showdown against the Dallas Wings. As Clark and the team prepare for that season-opening showdown, Clark took to social media to share a little hype.
“Year 3!!! See you all soon,” Clark wrote in a post on Instagram this week.
LeBron was quick to show his support in the comment section of the post, writing simply “LFG!!!!!!!!” to express his excitement.
This is not the first time that James has gone out of his way to show his support for Clark. Before the start of Clark’s second season, James shared a photo of the two of them standing next to each other, adding a bit of advice for the young sharpshooter in the caption.
“Good luck and DO YOU per usual this season!!!” James wrote.
For Clark, she is hoping this will be a sort of bounce-back year. Not only were her stats down across the board last season, but she missed a significant chunk of the season with an injury. However, Clark insisted last month that she was “100% healthy” going into the 2026 season.
“I’m a person that doesn’t want to sit out a single rep, like I want to be in there every single time,” Clark told reporters in April. “But I think just being a little bit smarter with my body… whether that’s recovery, whether that’s pre-court treatment, whatever it is.”
Clark has gotten off to a hot start during the preseason. We’ll have to see whether or not she can keep up that momentum into the regular season. Regardless, it’s clear that she’ll have James’ support.
