When the Los Angeles Sparks selected Cameron Brink in the 2024 WNBA Draft, they expected for her to rival the kind of impact Caitlin Clark has had with the Indiana Fever. But unfortunately, a significant knee injury has gotten in her way to prove herself at the WNBA level. And now, she is finally ready to make her return after missing over a year of action.
Brink suffered a torn ACL last June, an injury that has taken her over a year to recover from. But thankfully, Brink is now awaiting her return to action, which will come on Tuesday versus the Las Vegas Aces.
In 15 games in her rookie season, Brink didn’t exactly get to get into much of a rhythm, averaging just 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds. But considering Brink was someone who averaged 14.0 points per game and 9.1 rebounds per game while shooting 52.7 percent from the field during her time at Stanford in college, there is certainly plenty of potential that Brink has yet to realize.
Naturally, there were plenty of WNBA fans who took notice of this news, expressing their excitement to see Brink on the court again on Tuesday night.
