Caitlin Clark is back in action for the Indiana Fever after missing over two weeks with a quad injury. Clark and the Fever have won both of their games since the dynamic guard’s return, but in the second game, things got testy.
During a dead ball, Clark got into a verbal spat with Connecticut Sun guard Jacy Sheldon, whom Clark played against for years in the Big Ten. During the altercation, Sheldon appears to tell Clark, “You can’t do that.”
Clark’s response shows that she may be a little bit more entitled than the public has been led to believe.
“I can do whatever the f*ck I want to do,” Clark appears to say back to Sheldon, and then proceeding to shove the Sun player.
Fans reacted to the incident on social media.
“she’ll never improve if she doesn’t get that ego under control. it’s holding her back,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Superstar !!! WNBA have never seen anything like CC,” another fan added.
“2nd year villain moments are awesome,” one fan added.
“I been saying from day 1 villain Caitlin is the way to go… lol,” someone else added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Clark keeps the villain energy up throughout the season.
