There’s no hotter commodity in basketball right now than Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark, who has completely disrupted the WNBA. Unfortunately, fans didn’t get to see much of her in the 2025 WNBA season due to lingering injury issues throughout the season, most notably a troublesome groin.

Many of the WNBA’s top players compete in the new Unrivaled league, founded by Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier and New York Liberty star Breanna Stewart. Unrivaled serves as a three-on-three league that competes during the WNBA’s offseason, in the traditional winter basketball window.

There was some hope that Clark would play this season after passing on the opportunity last year. However, Unrivaled announced its last three players on Thursday, and Clark was not named.

Instead, the league named Aari McDonald, Rebecca Allen, and Dominique Malonga as its final three roster spots.

Fans reacted to the announcements on social media.

“Congrats Aari … but I’m still not watching … it was one n done for me … get that bag though,” one person wrote.

“Aari will be staying in the US to play basketball this WNBA offseason!” someone else wrote.

“Now we’ve got AB, Lex, Kelsey, and Aari in this godforsaken league I may actually have to watch like for reals Turns out my love for the Fever girls is greater than my disdain for this gimmicky league,” one fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see if Clark ever decides to lace them up in Unrivaled.
