Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark was forced to miss the WNBA three-point contest and All-Star game after injuring her groin last Tuesday. It’s the second time Clark’s groin has caused difficulties for her, after forcing her to miss two weeks earlier in the season.

There was hope that Clark would be cleared to return for the Fever’s first game after the All-Star game. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear as if that’s going to be in the cards.

“Stephanie White says she doesn’t anticipate Caitlin Clark to be available against New York on Tuesday. Says she’s going to meet with some doctors and get some more evaluations on her right groin injury early this week,” reported Chloe Peterson on Sunday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“I’d shut CC down for a month, if not the season, for that groin to heal. I’ve torn mine on the court and it simply takes time and rest between treatments to restore running with strength and flexibility. Her long-term health is infinitely more important than this season,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“It wouldn’t surprise me if she is out for 4 weeks at least,” one fan added.

“CC MUST NOT play this whole July,” wrote someone else.

It’ll be interesting to see when Clark can return to action.
