Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark has been a trailblazer for the future of the WNBA. Since entering the league as the number one overall pick in the 2024 WNBA draft, Clark has had an explosive effect on the league’s growth.
Clark’s presence has coincided with a dramatic leap in game attendance and television ratings numbers. Naturally, all of Clark’s success is paying dividends for her personally. Now, we know just how well those dividends are paying.
“Caitlin Clark keeps making history (…) With her new multi-year Stanley 1913 deal + her record 8-year Nike contract, she’s now the highest-earning WNBA player ever from endorsements!” reported DW Basketball.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Well deserved well deserved.. there hasnt been probably never will be a player like cc in the wnba EVER… don’t say anything it’s fact face it .. she has a gift god gave her . Because he knew she would carry herself better than anyone great attitude.. she is something special,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“the insane part is she should have an NBA level contract ( im not saying everyone in the WNBA, just her ) based on her economic and television impact and influence,” another fan added.
“She will do so much for so many with a bunch of it. Congratulations Caitlin. Proud fan of such a positive person, that crashes out on refs more than she should,” someone else wrote.
It’ll be interesting to see what major deals Clark signs next.
