Since being away from the ring, WWE Superstar Big E keeps himself busy. His latest venture is on the football field as the in-game host for the USFL’s Michigan Panthers.
Big E was a defensive lineman at the University of Iowa and is the enthusiastic hype man for The New Day. So this seems like it’s right in Big E’s wheelhouse.
The former WWE Champion will be in Detroit for five games this season, starting on April 30. He’ll be there on May 6, May 13, May 20, and June 18, which will be WWE Superstars Night.
The Panthers play at Ford Field, the site of this year’s SummerSlam premium live event. Tickets recently went on sale for the August 5 show. WWE announced they sold a record 32,000 tickets within the first 24 hours. It’s the largest one-day sale for a WWE stadium show outside of WrestleMania.
Big E hasn’t been in the ring since breaking his neck on a March 2022 episode of SmackDown. While it’s unknown if he’ll wrestle again, Big E has been a part of WWE’s NIL college tour and tryout program as a talent evaluator. Big E recently had his one-year scan on his neck, which had two fractures of his C1 vertebrae but haven’t discussed the next steps with his doctors.
