Points in tennis don’t come much better than the one Jannik Sinner scored on Friday in his match against Carlos Alcaraz at the Miami Open.
It started with a serve from Sinner. That was returned via backhand by Alcaraz.
That started a jaw-dropping rally that included 24 shots before the 25th shot, a backhand by Sinner, got by Alcaraz, and at long last settled the point.
Both players were given a well-earned lengthy ovation by the fans at Hard Rock Stadium.
Like those in attendance, tennis fans watching were in awe of the incredible point.

For fans who loved watching this point and hope to see more of it going forward, we have good news.
Alcaraz is 19 while Sinner is 21. So, there’s a pretty good chance we’ll be seeing a lot of these two in the future. And with Roger Federer now retired and Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal both winding down their brilliant careers (Djokovic will be 36 in May while Nadal will be 37 in June), the future of men’s tennis seems to be in capable — and exciting — hands.
Sinner defeated Alcaraz in the match as well. He won 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the finals against Daniil Medvedev.
