Two NASCAR drivers have been indefinitely suspended on Thursday due to a pair of concerning DWI arrests.
Jason White was arrested on August 3rd in Huntersville, North Carolina, later being charged with numerous traffic violations along with a DWI charge.
Meanwhile, Chris Hacker was also arrested in Huntersville, which also resulted in multiple traffic violations and a DWI charge.
According to Jim Utter of Motorsport.com, the two have both been indefinitely suspended, putting their respective racing futures into question.
White is likely the more recognizable name to most racing fans, with two career starts in the NASCAR Cup Series, 55 in the Xfinity Series, and 157 in the Truck Series.
Hacker on the other hand was just getting started with his racing career He had only 14 starts in the Truck Series over the last three years. He was actually slated to race this weekend at Watkins Glen with SS Greenlight Racing, but has been replaced by Josh Bilicki.
It’s obviously unfortunate whenever something outside of the sport ends up jeopardizing someone’s career. But considering their job is driving, it certainly makes sense that NASCAR would end up issuing this suspension.
White’s best finish came back in 2012 at Michigan Speedway in the Truck Series, while Hacker’s best finish of 12th came this season at North Wilkesboro.
