Kyle Larson refused to play nice with Denny Hamlin at the Richmond race on Sunday. Larson is still upset with Hamlin who planted him into a wall last week at Pocono for his 5oth career win.
While Hamlin offered an explanation, what he didn’t offer Larson was an apology, which may explain why he didn’t want to have a chat with Hamlin Sunday at the track.
Larson said there was no reason for them to meet up.
“I just didn’t really feel like there was a reason to meet up because we were just going to agree to disagree and probably get more frustrated with him,” Larson says. “I’m sure vice versa. He probably would be frustrated with me afterward. So, I thought just the brief texts that we had were good.”
Fans haven’t seen to forgive or forget Hamlin who they booed at the race Sunday. For his part, Hamlin doesn’t seem to mind being the villain but don’t expect a meeting of the minds between the pair anytime soon.
“I get over things pretty quickly, so I’m sure I’ll get over this over time,” Larson says. “This time I have probably let it linger on my attitude a little bit this week just because it’s happened more with him than any other driver in my career. Also, a win was taken, so that makes you more frustrated.”
