It will not be a spoiler in telling those of you who have the latest episode of The Walking Dead sitting on their DVRs by saying the show got a little violent as it returned to the air. It was a whole lot of fun and great to see the show back, but the action-packed episode caught at least one concerned resident in Montana off guard.
Alarmed by the screaming and gun shots heard in the show, one concerned neighbor called police to respond to some suspicious behavior at a home in Great Falls, Montana. It turns out it was just a family watching The Walking Dead.
Here are the details of the situation, via the Great Falls Tribune…
A 911 call came in at 7:28 p.m. from a neighbor who heard “screaming from a house about someone having a gun,” according to Great Falls Police Department notes from the call. A second caller helped the seven responding officers locate the house on the 600 block of 8th Street North.
GFPD Sgt. Brian McGraw said the officers surrounded the residence, responding to a disturbance possibly involving a gun.
Upon arriving on the scene, as police surrounded the house, responding officers reportedly saw two adults and several children “watching a show about firearms.” The show, of course, was The Walking Dead.
If you want to describe the show as one about firearms, I guess I will not argue. But you might also suggest the show is about medical operations in emergency conditions, post-apocalyptical living conditions, community relations, psychological disorders, children and their fears, and so on. Oh, and of course, zombies walkers.
Next time you gather the family to watch the latest episode of The Walking Dead, you may feel inclined to give your neighbors a heads up if they are the type to scare easily.
