Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is set to be married to global pop sensation Taylor Swift this year. In the meantime, Kelce is busy both contemplating whether to retire and on his unofficial golf tour, which has seen him compete in numerous Pro-Am events around the country.
On Tuesday, Kelce attended the TGL golf league match in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, which took place at SoFi Center, and is also where he was seen chatting it up with University of Miami golf team member Kai Trump.
Under normal circumstances, Kelce talking to a collegiate golfer wouldn’t be news, but Kai happens to be the granddaughter of United States President Donald Trump.
It’s surprising that Kelce would give any member of the Trump family the time of day, considering the President’s disrespect of his fiancee, Taylor Swift, after Swift announced her support for Kamala Harris in the 2024 Presidential election.
The President even went as far as posting “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” on Truth Social.
Fans weren’t thrilled with Kelce chatting up Kai.
“m a life long Chiefs fan but this aint a good look. I might have to pick another team to root for,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Taylor’s gonna be PISSED. As will his sponsors. I wonder if he knew who she is,” someone else added.
“This just proves he can’t have a normal conversation with Taylor Swift,” one person added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Kelce ends up addressing his conversation with Kai publicly.
