Taylor Swift might be the most popular and iconic pop star on the planet right now after she just wrapped up her final United States stops of her iconic Eras Tour this year. But even though she’s spent the past few months selling out some of the biggest NFL stadiums across the country, it sounds like she won’t be performing on the NFL’s biggest stage come February.
According to the radio show HITS Daily Double, pop megastar Taylor Swift has declined an invitation to perform at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show in Las Vegas next year.
“Taylor Swift has declined the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show, HITS Daily Double Reports,” Pop Base said in a tweet.
It’s pretty massive news for anyone who was hoping to see the pop superstar on their televisions in February, and Swift’s decision led to a lot of reactions on social media.

I fear Taylor is too big for the Super Bowl like just her presence would overshadow the Super Bowl by ten fold. Might as well just call it the Swift Bowl. However it would be fun to see how she would mash up her greatest hits in 12 minutes. She has too many songs https://t.co/DGf8pzo8sd

It’s worth noting that Swift was reportedly asked to perform at last year’s Super Bowl halftime show as well, but she declined. Rihanna ultimately performed instead.
It makes sense that Swift would continue to get invites from the Super Bowl, but it also makes perfect sense that she would decline given her immense popularity and very busy schedule.
