One of the best visual gags on the U.S. version of The Office has gotta be when Kevin brings in his famous chili. The juxtaposition between Kevin desperately shoveling his spilled chili into the pot while his voiceover reveals it’s the he does best is just great comedy.
Yesterday was National Chili Day and the guy who played Kevin, Brian Baumgartner, celebrated by making some chili.
In an ad for Bush’s Beans, Baumgartner makes another pot of his chili and makes some small comical errors. And then at the end, everything falls apart.
I must admit, after hearing Kevin for so many years, it’s a bit strange to hear Baumgartner’s real voice but this is pretty funny and is a nice callback to a legendary moment.
