The headline “Famous chef joins Tom Brady comedy” might be the most random six words ever grouped together, but it’s apparently going to be a reality.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, celebrity chef and restauranteur Guy Fieri is set to have a cameo as himself in Brady’s movie 80 for Brady. Emmy and Tony Award-winning actor Billy Porter will also take part in a role that is “being kept under wraps.”
The film, which stars acting legends Sally Field, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Lily Tomlin, is inspired by a true story. It chronicles four best friends, and New England Patriots fans, who take a road trip to Super Bowl LI to see Brady play. Brady will produce and star in the movie.
A release date hasn’t been revealed, but filming has wrapped. So things seem to be progressing, even if Brady came out of retirement since production started.
