Bad Lip Reading, the site responsible for taking clips from sports, films and just about everywhere and remixing them to speak the words perceived to be coming out of their mouth, has done it again. Their latest video titled “SEAGULLS! (Stop it Now)” takes on the classic Star Wars title The Empire Strikes Back – and in true BLR fashion, it’s hysterically amazing.
Their remixed version (into song no less) focuses on getting Seagulls to, as the title suggests, stop it now. Yoda recounts how his friends warned him not to go the beach, as seagulls were going to come (they did) and poke him in a coconut. The nonsensical lyrics are funny and the song is surprisingly catchy. Hearing Yoda wish he had Luke Skywalker’s big feet so he can outrun the birds is stirring.
If anything, the video gave up this amazing .gif.
It’s hard to imagine someone who doesn’t find the video entertaining. Who doesn’t want to hear Yoda sing about seagulls for just under four minutes? I know I do.
