Washington, D.C., is no stranger to contentious activity. Still, it’s surprising to see two billionaires who were once so close going at each other’s throats. Elon Musk recently departed from his role as an efficiency expert in Donald Trump’s administration, and Trump made it clear how disappointed he was in Musk.

“I would have won Pennsylvania regardless of Elon…I’m very disappointed with Elon. He knew this bill better than anyone and he only developed a problem when he found out I would cut the EV mandate… When he left he said the most beautiful things about me, he hasn’t said anything bad yet but I’m sure that will be next…I’ve helped Elon a lot…

“Elon worked hard at DOGE and I think he misses the place…I think he got out there and he’s no longer in this beautiful Oval Office…it’s not just Elon, I think when some people leave they miss it so badly they develop a type of TDS…some embrace it and some become hostile,” Trump said.

It wasn’t long before Musk responded with some choice words of his own.

“Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate,” Musk tweeted in reply to the video of Trump, before following up with, “Such ingratitude.”

One journalist responded with an interesting outcome for the saga to end that’s not outside the realm of possibility.

“The funniest possible outcome is definitely Trump deporting him,” tweeted Franklin Leonard.

People responded to Leonard on social media.

“Elon rebans Trump from Twitter, Trump deports Elon,” one person wrote.

“Trump is going to put Afrikaners on the travel ban list,” someone else speculated.

“I will become Trump’s strongest soldier if he deports Elon musk,” another person wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see where things go from here.
