Mike Tyson is one of the most controversial men in sports history. Donald Trump is one of the most controversial men in political history.
In a way, it makes sense that the two would see eye to eye on some level.
That’s exactly what happened this week when Tyson defended Trump, saying the 45th President of the United States shouldn’t go to jail for any of his alleged crimes.
“I think politics is what politics are,” Tyson told Breitbart News about the efforts of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, the man reportedly on the verge of indicting Trump for campaign finance violations. “They have agendas, and that’s — it doesn’t have to be a bad agenda, but it’s an agenda. I don’t know — I don’t think he should go to jail. I don’t know, I’m not a politician. I don’t want anyone to go to jail.”
Trump and Tyson are longtime friends.
“I don’t know, I like to keep my opinions to myself because people get upset but I like him personally,” Tyson said. “I’ve known Trump for over 30 years. I don’t have the same perspective as everyone else. I have a human perspective.”
Only time will tell if Trump is indicted or goes to jail.
