Donald Trump and Joe Rogan together

Longtime UFC commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan openly backed Donald Trump during the 2024 presidential election. However, that support hasn’t stopped him from recently voicing frustration with the president.

Over the past few weeks and months, Rogan has repeatedly criticized Trump, suggesting his view of the president has noticeably cooled.

Rogan has even described some of Trump’s behavior as “crazy” and “disappointing,” while also saying the president shows “no empathy.” He has also expressed understanding toward those who have taken issue with Trump’s handling of immigration enforcement.

On the latest episode of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan once again appeared to take aim at Trump, implying that the president may be using distractions to shift attention away from the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Although the Department of Justice has released thousands of documents tied to Epstein, it failed to release all of the files connected to his case by a December deadline established by Congress.

During the most recent episode of his podcast, which featured comedian Ehsan Ahmad, Rogan suggested that Trump’s recent behavior was meant to divert attention from the unreleased files.

“It’s gonna go on for a long time, I suspect,” Rogan said about Epstein files being released. “I mean they said they released them, but what did they release?”

“With the Somalians and the ICE shooting, it feels like that’s completely drowned out, anything about it,” Ahmad said.

“I think some of that’s on purpose,” Rogan added.

“Oh, 100%,” Ahmad agreed.

Rogan also poked fun at Trump for campaigning on releasing the files and then failing to follow through, even when Congress attempted to intervene.

“So a federal judge said, no, you can’t force them to release it even though you campaigned on it,” Rogan said, laughing. “Even though you ran on it, even though you stood outside of that courthouse with a bunch of binders, ‘we’ve got it!’”

Needless to say, Rogan’s words caused quite a stir.

“We are being duped like we were when we were told that Trump will make things affordable in America. Why is our country ‘allowing’ Bondi to ignore the deadline?” one person wrote in the comments of the story.

“This is not news. We all know he’s protecting himself and his billionaire buddies from prosecution. If only they were made to follow the laws of our country, we would be in a much better place,” someone else wrote.

“Rogan is just one of millions of Americans who regrets his pre election support for trump. Now he needs to urge his listeners to vote for the blue wave in November,” another person added.

“Thanks for helping to get him elected, Joey. Your back pedaling probably won’t work,” someone else wrote.

“I’ve been saying the same thing all along… He fought tooth and nail to get the files sealed, but when he thought they were wiped clean, he flip-flopped,” another person added.

“You helped get him into to office, you really have no business itchin’ about him now. You got what you voted for, he made no secret of who he is,” someone else wrote.

At this point, it’s clear Rogan is far from pleased with Trump, and his stance on the president appears to have shifted significantly over time.
