United States President Joe Biden recently called out Donald Trump a little bit as he challenged his political competitor to a showdown on the golf course. And this challenge has led to a pretty embarrassing Biden golf video resurfacing on social media.
It all started during a recent Democratic fundraiser in New York City, host Stephen Colbert jokingly asked Joe Biden a question about Donald Trump’s golf game.
“Donald Trump, as far as we can tell, has just been trying to win a third championship at his own golf course,” Colbert said. “My question to you, sir. Can voters trust a presidential candidate who has not won a single Trump International Golf Club trophy? At long last. Sir, have you no chip-shot?”
Biden responded by saying he would be “happy to” play Trump in a round of golf. He actually revealed that he’s challenged Trump before, and was even willing to give him an advantage under one hilarious condition.
“I told him once before when he came into the Oval [before Trump was sworn into office]. I said, ‘I’ll give you three strokes if you carry your own bag,’” Biden said, according to Huffington Post.
Following these comments, popular conservative political commentator ALX re-shared a video that showed Biden golfing back in 2021. In the clip, Biden hit the ball, but the ball immediately hit a rock in front of him and bounced backward.
“Biden literally managed to hit the ball backwards,” ALX said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
The clip quickly went viral as people offered their reactions.
