It’s not often that you see the sitting president of the United States get involved in a social media spat with a former NFL player, but it seems that’s exactly what happened this week when controversial former NFL superstar Antonio Brown decided to call out Joe Biden on social media.
Over the weekend, Antonio Brown shared a video on social media of current United States President Joe Biden looking confused at a recent event, suggesting that Biden should be checked for CTE, which is a progressive degenerative disease affecting people who have suffered repeated concussions and traumatic brain injuries that has become associated with football players.
But Biden did not seem to take kindly to that criticism.
A screenshot shared by Brown later in the weekend shows that Biden actually blocked Brown on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
Obviously, it’s pretty insane news that Biden and/or his staff paid enough attention to Brown’s social media antics to block his account, and the whole situation led to a lot of reactions on social media.
After all of the negative situations Brown has been involved in over the past few years, it makes sense that Biden wouldn’t necessarily want to engage with him, but it’s still wild to see him actually take the time to block Brown.
