While Herschel Walker prepares for a run-off election against Senator Raphael Warnock in order to find out who will represent Georgia in the U.S. Senate next year, the former Georgia Bulldogs star got mocked pretty hard on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
It started during host Dave Chappelle’s opening monologue when the comedian did not mince words regarding Walker’s intelligence.
“I don’t want to speak badly of him, because he’s Black. But I have to admit, he’s, um, observably stupid,” said Chappelle. “He’s the kind of guy who looks like he thinks before he makes a move on Tic-Tac-Toe.”
Later on, during Weekend Update, co-anchor Michael Che weighed in on the Georgia Senate race, which is moving to a run-off after neither candidate reached 50% of the vote.
“The key Senate race in Georgia between Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker will move on to a runoff in December, but Walker has offered Warnock $500 to just… take care of it, baby,” said Che, alluding to the allegations that the Republican anti-choice candidate has paid for abortions with two different women.
There are sure to be plenty more jokes about Walker and the Georgia Senate race in the days ahead.
