Charlie Kirk’s widow Erika Kirk takes the stage during the memorial service honoring Charlie Kirk at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Sept. 21, 2025. Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA was assassinated on Sept. 10, 2025.

Tuning Point USA CEO Erika has had an extremely rough go of things lately. In response to the Super Bowl LX halftime show being headlined by Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny, whose primary language is Spanish, Kirk had Turning Point put on its own performance for the Super Bowl, headlined by Kid Rock.

Unfortunately, Turning Point’s event was dwarfed in viewership by the Puppy Bowl, and the President of the United States, Donald Trump, even turned inot to Bad Bunny’s performance rather than Kid Rock’s. Still, Kirk held her head high.

The (TPUSA) All-American Halftime Show was so incredible,” Kirk tweeted. “Charlie would’ve absolutely loved it. Thank you to the millions that tuned in. I’m so proud of our entire team, staff, and the artists who believed in the vision and mission… Ultimately, this is what it’s all about, making Heaven crowded. …I love you Charlie baby, this is all for you.”

Now, however, Kirk has received some truly horrible news that has affected her plans. Due to threats, she was forced out of an interview.

People on social media reacted to the horrible news.

“Isn’t the Secret Service already there for Vance? Erika thinks the secret service is not good enough to protect her? She gallivants around the country doing speaking engagements but the vice president’s security isn’t good enough for her?” one person wrote on Twitter.

“I’m not buying it. The event was too dangerous for Erika Kirk, but totally safe for the Vice President of the United States?” someone else wondered.

“The wife of a deceased podcaster was unavailable to attend our event tonight. please join me in welcoming our backup option for this evening: the vice president of the united states of america,” another person added.

Hopefully, the source of the threats has been tracked down and eveyone involved is safe.
