This weekend, comedian Shane Gillis returned to Saturday Night Live for the first time since he was fired from the show back in 2019, joining as this weekend’s host. In one of his skits, he absolutely roasted former United States President Donald Trump.

In the skit, Shane Gillis portrayed a man who struggles at playing basketball but suddenly finds a pair of Donald Trump “Never Surrender” sneakers that change everything for him.

While the sneakers don’t actually make him any better at basketball, they do make him confident in lying about being better at basketball – a parody of how Donald Trump is able to deny reality until people believe him.

Right after putting on the shoes, Gillis missed a basketball shot badly, but quickly insisted “I didn’t miss, it went in.”

“They give me the power to say I’m good at basketball and then double down on that until people actually start to believe it,” Gillis said of the sneakers in the skit.

Gillis then lied about a number of other things with the shoes magically convincing everyone that they are true.

Obviously, it was a pretty hilarious skit that generated a lot of reactions on social media.

The skit then included “Air Biden’s” which make people fall over when they wear them.
