Donald Trump and Sean Diddy Combs

United States President Donald Trump posted a photo of himself posing with disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs on Wednesday.

Early Wednesday morning, Trump uploaded a video to Truth Social titled “A timeline of Trump’s bigotry,” which featured a series of images showing him alongside prominent Black figures, in an apparent attempt to dispel claims that he is racist, especially after posting a racist image of Barack Obama.

The second image included in the video showed Trump standing next to Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Diddy, of course, was convicted on July 2, 2025, on two counts of transportation for the purposes of prostitution. He was sentenced to four years and two months in prison, ordered to pay a $500,000 fine, and will serve five years of supervised release after facing numerous sexual misconduct allegations.

Needless to say, Trump’s decision to share the photo led to a lot of reactions on social media.

“So, in order to show he’s not racist, he posts a pic of him with Diddy, a sex predator ?!?!” someone wrote in a post on X.

“Not the flex they hoped it would be,” another person wrote.

“What is wrong with our president?” someone else asked.

“So to counter claims of racism he’s posting himself with a fellow rapist? Cool cool,” another person wrote.

Trump has openly discussed his past friendship with Diddy, once referring to him as “a good friend of mine” and “a good guy” during an episode of Celebrity Apprentice.

“I love Diddy. You know, he’s a good friend of mine. He’s a good guy,” Trump said at the time in a clip shared by Entertainment Tonight. “I think he’s a good guy. I’m gonna stick up for him.”

While Diddy’s trial was underway, Trump was asked whether he would consider issuing a pardon if Diddy were found guilty.

“He used to really like me a lot. I would certainly look at the facts. If I think someone was mistreated, whether they like me or don’t like me, it wouldn’t have any impact,” Trump said.

Trump later disclosed that Diddy had sent him a letter requesting a presidential pardon. However, he indicated he did not intend to grant one.

“I have a lot of people who have asked me for pardons,” Trump said. “I haven’t seen him, I haven’t spoken to him in years.”

It remains unclear why Trump is now circulating images of himself with the disgraced entertainment executive if, as he claims, they no longer maintain a relationship.
