Former American president Donald Trump isn’t letting 91 felony counts in four jurisdictions, as well as a $250 million civil lawsuit in New York, stop him from enjoying sports.
Trump, who is leading all Republican challengers by double digits for the party’s presidential nomination, stopped by the annual Iowa State vs. Iowa rivalry game on Saturday.
Before the game, Trump made a stop at a campus fraternity to showcase his grill master skills, holding up a single burger patty for his admirers to see.
The Hawkeyes went on to avenge last season’s loss, beating the Cyclones 20-13. Iowa running back Jaziun Patterson led the offensive effort with 86 yards on 10 rushing attempts, with one going for a touchdown. Iowa quarterback Cade McNamara, who transferred from Michigan in the offseason, added 123 yards passing while completing 12 of his 22 passing attempts, with one going for an interception.
Trump wasn’t the only Republican candidate who attended the game. While Trump watched the game from a suite, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is a distant second in the Republican polls, watched the game from the stands.
The world was quick to react to the insane moment, with many drawing attention to Trump’s seemingly unfamiliarity with operating a grill at a college football tailgate.
