On Friday, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine made quite a surprising move when he decided to veto a bill that would have banned transgender women and girls from competing in women’s sports throughout the state, and former United States President Donald Trump is not at all happy with the move.
Following the decision to veto the bill from Mike DeWine, Donald Trump took to social media to absolutely blast the Ohio governor for refusing to push the legislation through.
“DeWine has fallen to the Radical Left. No wonder he gets loudly booed in Ohio every time I introduce him at Rallies, but I won’t be introducing him any more. I’m finished with this ‘stiff.’ What was he thinking,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “The bill would have stopped child mutilation, and prevented men from playing in women’s sports. Legislature will hopefully overturn. Do it FAST!!!”
It’s a pretty bold and clear message from the former president, and it led to quite a reaction on social media as a result.
Donald Trump is going after Ohio Governor Mike DeWine for vetoing a ban on gender-affirming health care for transgender minors. Trump needs to fact-check himself after saying DeWine gets booed at Ohio rallies, as he’s popular in his state. Maybe they’re Trump rallies.

While DeWine may be a prominent Republican, it’s clear that he will no longer have the support of the former president after this surprising move.
There is a chance Ohio’s bill could still go into effect if 60 percent of the state legislature votes to override the governor’s veto.
