Erika Kirk, widow of Charlie Kirk and CEO of Turning Point USA, wipes away tears during the TPUSA event at The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss in Oxford, Miss., on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025.

Erika Kirk stepped into the role of Turning Point USA CEO after her husband, Charlie, was slain at an event in Utah. Since taking over, Kirk has put on a Super Bowl halftime show and featured as a key speaker at a number of events across the country.

In a brutal moment for Kirk, at a recent event in San Antonio, she was forced to endure some extreme heckling from a protester.

According to the New York Post, the protester wore a papier mache mask designed to resemble Charlie, and collapsed to the ground in a seeming reenactment of Kirk’s murder. Meanwhile, others in the crowd chanted, “He deserved to die.”

People reacted to the insane incident on social media.

“I’ll never understand how these people think they’re the good guys?” one person wrote on Twitter.

“No matter what your politics are any sane person knows this is demented,” another person wrote.

“Regardless of where you stand on the political spectrum, this is SICK. This world is truly in a weird place – celebrating anyone’s viral and captured death is low IQ,” someone else added.

It’s clear that in order to avoid events such as this happening in the future, Turning Point should increase is security at its events.
