The Montreal Canadiens are going to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 1993.
Artturi Lehkonen scored less than two minutes into overtime to give the Canadiens a series-clinching 3-2 win over the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 6.

And what makes it particularly incredible: the Canadiens entered the postseason as the lowest overall seed. Montreal reached the playoffs despite only having 59 points and a -9 goal differential (Vegas, for example, had 82 points and a +67 goal differential). They also erased a 3-1 series deficit to win their first-round series against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
So, one half of the Stanley Cup Final is set. We’ll find out the other half in Friday night’s Game 7 between the New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lightning.
