Many sports teams have songs that are associated with their franchise. The 2016 Philadelphia Eagles used Meek Mill’s “Dream and Nightmares” as their unofficial theme song during their legendary Super Bowl run. In Boston, Red Sox fans have been singing along to Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline” before the start of the eighth inning since 1997.
The Colorado Avalanche have also adopted their own rallying cry, pumping up fans with Blink 182’s “All the Small Things,” playing the alternative classic at the beginning of the third period.

It was only fitting that Avs fans would sing along to their team’s anthem during the Avalanche’s victory parade celebration Thursday after winning their third Stanley Cup title in franchise history.

According to Brian Murphy of the Sporting News, the team adopted the song in 2019 at the recommendation of house DJ Craig Turney. As the Avs got more and more successful, the demand to keep the song in the rotation increased and increased, and as they say, the rest is history.
While the band didn’t make an appearance at the parade, they congratulated the Avalanche on their Stanley Cup victory via Twitter.

Unlike the Warriors parade, the Avs celebration wasn’t as debaucherous or rowdy but it still produced a few shares of viral moments including defenseman Bowen Byram getting some pushback from a Denver bike cop who mistaken him for a fan.
