The Bengals are sorely missing star quarterback Joe Burrow. The Bengals won both of Burrow’s starts to begin the season, but they proved to be costly victories. The franchise quarterback left the second game of the campaign with a turf toe injury that is set to keep him sidelined for at least six months, and that was expected to be on the optimistic side of things.

The Bengals have gone 1-5 in Burrow’s absence, and in a last-ditch attempt to get things turned around, traded with their rivals, the Cleveland Browns, to bring in veteran quarterback Joe Flacco to stabilize things.

Flacco is responsible for Cincinnati’s lone win since Burrow’s injury, but now he is questionable himself for this weekend’s clash with the Chicago Bears.

However, the Bengals finally got some good news earlier this week, that if they can keep the ship afloat, Burrow’s rehab process is going well enough that he could return for a playoff run.

“Joe Burrow has progressed to no walking boot. Strolls through locker room in normal athletic running shoes,” reported Mike Petraglia.

Now, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor has confirmed the positive trend in his quarterback’s rehab.

“Joe Burrow’s rehab so far has gone ‘as we hoped’ according to head coach Zac Taylor during his press conference today,” SleeperBengals reported.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“We’ll see ya in 2026 man, hopefully with out that clown at head coach,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Well there isn’t much to rehab for turf toe surgery besides rest, walking, then gradually increasing mobility and agility,” one fan added.

“Did zac say when he plans on firing himself?” one fan wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see if Burrow plays again this season.
