The Minnesota Vikings are eagerly awaiting the resolution to star wide receiver Jordan Addison’s DUI case, which may result in at least a three-game suspension if he is found guilty. Addison was set to appear for trial on Tuesday, but things have taken a left turn, per Pro Football Talk.
Instead of appearing for trial on Tuesday, Addison now has a hearing scheduled for Thursday, according to one prominent ESPN insider.
“Online records show that Jordan Addison now has a hearing scheduled for Thursday,” reported Kevin Seifert on Twitter.
It’s currently unknown what may have triggered the change in schedule, but Mike Florio of PFT provided the following as an example of what may have delayed the process: “some unresolved issue of evidence that the judge decided to address at a standalone hearing.”
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Wilf made some calls. But hey, its not like the Vikings had a player killed in a car crash recently or anything. So, this dangerous behavior is totally ok because Jordan Addison is good,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Smells like he is going to get charges dropped,” someone else added.
“This reminds me of the Williams Wall bumetanide case. Delayed, delayed, delayed,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see when the case is finally resolved.
