The Miami Dolphins put on an absolute show on the offensive side of the ball during Sunday afternoon’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, scoring 28 points in the fourth quarter alone to pull out a 42-38 victory.

The play-calling on offense was particularly aggressive from first-year head coach Mike McDaniel as he rolled out several deep pass attempts – one of which he hilariously called “the f— it play” – to get the ball to his speedy receivers like Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

It was fun to watch for NFL fans, and according to Hill, the offense was also fun for the players. He even compared McDaniel’s play-calling to a popular football video game.

“It was like he was out there playing Madden,” Hill said of McDaniel’s play-calling, according to Miami Dolphins beat writer Daniel Oyefusi.

Whatever McDaniel was doing, it worked. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had a stunning 469 passing yards with six touchdowns in the game. Hill and Waddle combined for 361 yards and four touchdowns between just the two of them.

The only complaint fans could have is that the Dolphins’ defense didn’t have a terribly strong performance, surrendering 38 points to the Ravens. Perhaps McDaniel needs to start calling defense like he’s playing Madden, too.
