While the NFL rumor mill is generally associated with potential trades, signings, firings or other transactions, a rumor of a different sort made its way to the postgame show after the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday.
Eagles stars Jalen Hurts and Jason Kelce were on the show when one of its hosts, Tony Gonzalez, asked Kelce a question on behalf of his 15-year-old daughter. The question involved a rumored relationship between Kelce’s younger brother, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and pop star Taylor Swift.
“Jason, you talk about family. I have a 15-year-old daughter,” Gonzalez said. “And she’s a big fan of a certain pop star. And you have a family member, a brother, I think, and I’ve been hearing rumors that there’s maybe some stuff. Can you comment on this?”
“I’ve seen these rumors. I cannot comment,” a chuckling Kelce said.
“It’s for my daughter, OK?” Gonzalez reiterated.
“Ever since Catching Kelce, everyone’s been infatuated with Travis’ love life. I don’t really know what’s going on there. I know Trav is having fun and we’ll see what happens…with whoever he ends up with,” Kelce said, before laughing again.
Those watching did not struggle to find the humor in the exchange.
We can confidently say that Gonzalez and his 15-year-old daughter are two of many people who would love to know more about what’s going on.
