For the past several seasons, Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce has been the most dominant tight end in the entire league. But this season, his numbers have taken a pretty noticeable dip. And that drop in production aligns pretty strongly with when the Chiefs star began dating global pop sensation, Taylor Swift.
During Monday afternoon’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day, Travis Kelce had yet another disappointing game in which he had just five catches for 44 yards in the loss. This continues a pretty brutal stretch of games for Kelce.
Kelce hasn’t had 10 or more receptions or eclipsed 100 yards receiving in the past eight games, going all the way back to the team’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 22. During that stretch, Kelce has only caught one touchdown as he has not looked like the same receiving threat that he has in previous years.
It’s been an absolutely horrible turn of events for Kelce over the past several weeks, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.
We’ll have to see whether or not Kelce can turn things around in the coming weeks as the Chiefs look toward the playoffs.
