Travis Kelce will reportedly play against the Denver Broncos on ‘Thursday Night Football.’ Hampered by injuries this season, Kelce hurt his ankle last Sunday in the Chiefs’ victory over the Minnesota Vikings. While there was fear of a more significant injury at the time, the All-Pro tight end did return to the sideline with his ankle heavily wrapped. Only a few days later, it won’t be a concern to keep him off the field.
“Chiefs’ TE Travis Kelce is expected to play tonight vs. the Broncos with his sprained ankle heavily taped, per sources,” ESPN’s resident NFL insider Adam Schefter said Thursday afternoon.
Kelce has 27 receptions through his first four games. The two-time Super Bowl champion has racked up 222 receiving yards and has three receiving touchdowns. Across his celebrated career, Kelce has racked up over 10,000 receiving yards and over 800 receptions. He’s scored 72 total touchdowns across the way as well. The former third-round pick attended the University of Cincinnati, where he starred.
Recently, Travis has gained worldwide attention off the field. Kelce recently started dating pop music megastar Taylor Swift. According to several, Swift will be attending Thursday night’s matchup between the Chiefs and the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs are a resounding favorite over the Broncos, unsurprisingly.
The NFL world was buzzing over the Travis Kelce update.
