Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady just spent most of the month away from Tampa Bay Buccaneers preseason camp due to mysterious personal reasons, but apparently, that wasn’t long enough for the NFL megastar quarterback.
According to Buccaneers reporter Rick Stroud, Brady did not practice with the team once again on Wednesday, even after he just returned to practice on Monday. The new reason, apparently, is because Brady was having a “veteran maintenance day.”
Stroud reports that Brady did throw a lot of passes during his two practices on Monday and Tuesday, but Brady’s decision to sit out practice once again after already missing most of the month won’t help his case as some critics question his commitment to the team.
“I do wonder where his head is at right now,” NFL reporter Ben Volin told Colin Cowherd earlier this month. “He was so good at 44, there is no doubt in our minds that if Brady is fully committed he can have a terrific season at 45, but there are definitely signs that his head is not fully into it. I try not to be the body language police, but I was at Bucs practice yesterday and he looked miserable.”
