After a tumultuous couple of months and a pattern of marital problems over the past few years, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and his supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen finally made the separation official this month, ending their 13-year marriage with a divorce. But before they could do that, they had to come together for one important reason: their children.
According to documents obtained by Page Six, both Tom Brady and Gisele took and completed a “Parent Education and Family Stabilization” course before their divorce was finalized. This is part of the divorce process as this course is required by law for parents who have minor children and are seeking a separation or divorce.
“Per Florida law, separating and divorcing parents must take this course as it’s designed to educate, train, and assist parents in regards to the impact divorce can have on parents and children,” Page Six wrote.
While the course may be required by law, both Gisele and Brady have made it quite clear that their children are important to both of them.
In his first public comments since his divorce, Brady highlighted the importance of his children despite the difficult circumstances in his life.
