The pressure is on for former Green Bay Packers and current New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The four-time MVP forced a trade to the Jets this offseason and now the hype is through the roof for him and the team to make the playoffs and even win the Super Bowl.

If there’s anyone who knows about that kind of hype, it’s Tom Brady. Brady won six Super Bowls with the Patriots before leaving to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Once there, he won a Super Bowl in his first season with his new team.

Can Rodgers do the same? Brady thinks all the pieces are there for Rodgers to have a strong season.

“It’s like you go through a lot of years at one place and there’s a lot of, I would say, mental scar tissue, from losses or relationships or certain experiences. ‘Oh, this guy had said this once,’ or ‘that teammate,’ or ‘this coach or that general manager.’ Now you go to a new place and you have none of that,” he said, per ESPN’s Jenna Laine. “So now you can just hopefully bring your best knowing that you probably didn’t do everything right where you were, but you tried your best. And now you get to go to a new place with a different type of emotional energy. And I’m excited for him. He’ll be invigorated. … Aaron’s been, when he’s got good receivers, man, it’s pretty dangerous. … I think he’s gonna have a great year.”

The NFL world had some strong reactions to Brady’s assessment.
