Cincinnati Bengals wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins might be the most dominant wide receiver combo in the entire NFL. And heading into the 2023 NFL season, they have some extremely bold goals.
Throughout Cincinnati Bengals history, no wide receiver has ever put up 1,500 receiving yards in a single season. Tee Higgins wants to do that this season, but he also wants teammate Ja’Marr Chase to do it, too.
“Need 3,000 yards. Pro Bowlers. And hopefully a ring, man,” Higgins said according to the Cincinnati Bengals team website. “That’s the biggest goal.”
Obviously, that will require massive seasons from both star receivers, and it sounds like Chase has a plan for them to put in the work this offseason.
“I plan to have (for both) 1,000 catches before the season. I’m tracking both our numbers,” Chase said. “Put 50 balls in a garbage can. Catch them, do it again and then we’re done.”
It helps that both of them will be catching passes from star quarterback Joe Burrow, who has already helped both of them put up massive numbers in the past. But if they’re going to each put up over 1,500 yards this season, the Bengals’ offense will have to be on a completely new level.
