Global pop sensation Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce are engaged, setting up what should be one of the most high-profile celebrity weddings of all time. However, it sounds like the wedding planning is currently on hold.
This week, Rob Shuter reported on his #NaughtyButNice on Substack that the power couple has put wedding planning on the back burner and is not rushing to finalize those plans.
Instead, Swift and Kelce are simply “enjoying time together” rather than spending a lot of time planning the high-profile wedding.
“They’re not even halfway through the guest list,” an anonymous source told Shuter. “Right now it’s more about enjoying time together than crunching spreadsheets.”
Of course, Kelce is currently in the midst of a major career decision as he mulls whether to retire from the NFL or return next year.
“Travis is still figuring out if he’s playing next year,” a source told Shuter. “They don’t want to stress over a wedding when there’s so much else going on.”
That, coupled with a desire to “savor” their engagement, has led them not to rush the wedding planning process.
“Taylor is usually so meticulous about every detail, but with Travis, she’s relaxed. They’re taking it slow. The wedding isn’t stressing them out yet — they’re savoring the engagement,” another source said.
So, anyone expecting a wedding at some point in the near future might be a bit disappointed. However, it sounds like it is still in the plans.
