Taylor Swift is the biggest musical artist on the planet, and ever since she began dating Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce, she’s become the most famous football fan on the globe as well.
Swift is set to make her first appearance on Kelce’s podcast, New Heights, on Wednesday evening. In a preview clip of the upcoming episode, Swift is shown taking a dig at all the NFL fans who complain about the league’s coverage of her.
“Thanks for having me on my favorite podcast,” Swift said, via sports media outlet Awful Announcing. “As we all know, you guys have a lot of male sports fans that listen to your podcast. And I think we all know that if there’s one thing that male sports fans want to see in their spaces and on their screens, it’s more of me.”
Fans reacted to Swift’s statement on social media.
“Its funny, I wasn’t even a fan of hers until she started triggering all these pathetic people,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“She clocked the internalised misogyny that these straight sports fans have bc why are u bothered by a girl coming to support her man bc this is such a non issue,” someone else added.
“The irony is that sports bros secretly love her presence. The Travis effect is real,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see how the NFL covers Swift this season.
