For the past few years, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been led by the most accomplished quarterback of all time with Tom Brady under center. But now as the franchise looks for their future franchise quarterback, it sounds like they’ve keyed in on one of the top quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft.

According to a report from JC Cornell of The Draft Network, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are “in love” with Kentucky Wildcats quarterback Will Levis.

“Rumor on the street is Buccaneers are in love with Levis,” Cornell said in a tweet on Wednesday. “That would be an extremely risky move by Bowles. Draft someone that high your job depends on it.”

Levis is widely considered one of the top four quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL Draft class along with C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young, and Anthony Richardson. This would mean that if the Buccaneers wanted to select him in the draft, they would have to trade up because he would not be available for them to select with their first-round pick at No. 19.

It would certainly be a bold move, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.

The Buccaneers signed former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield this season, but it’s unclear whether he can be a long-term option for the team at quarterback.
