The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to bounce back after a brutal loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, their first of the season. The Buccaneers are looking to bounce back this week in another clash of NFC contenders, this time against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Buccaneers knew heading into the week that they would be without star running back Bucky Irving, but now there’s been an update that is even worse than the initial news the team got concerning its featured back.
“Turns out that Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving’s shoulder injury, which he did not report to the team until Tuesday last week, is more of an issue than his sprained foot, per sources. Irving is dealing with a shoulder subluxation that is expected to sideline him at least two weeks. Irving will not play today vs. the Seahawks and he’s not expected back for next week’s game vs. the 49ers, either,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Sunday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“I mean still not good, but good hearing his foot sprain seems to not be too significant,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Sure man lmfao team looks great but they’ve yet to play even close to full health and it’s somehow only getting worse,” another fan added.
“The Bucs, as a team, are so injured that even the injured players have multiple injuries,” someone else wrote.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Bucs manage without Irving in the backfield.
