Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a real argument as the busiest team in the league this offseason. The Steelers made multiple high-profile trades, which ended up netting the franchise some of the most talented players in the league, including Jalen Ramsey and DK Metcalf.

The Steelers also signed four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers at quarterback and inked star pass rusher T.J. Watt to an extension that made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in league history at the time of his signing.

Now, the Steelers are back at it, securing one of the most important pieces of thier offense to a new extension, according to one prominent league insider.

The #Steelers and RB Jaylen Warren agreed to terms on a 2-year deal that pays him over $7M this year and includes $12M guaranteed,” reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Warren needs to thank Harris for this money. It’s not that Jaylen was anything special, it’s just Najee was so bad it made him look good,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Warren extension proves Pittsburgh’s blueprint works. Undrafted to RB1, rewarded for grinding. Perfect example of Steelers developing talent while others chase splashy moves,” someone else added.

“Crazy how he got that cash without starting a game Do you think teams are overvaluing potential over proven performance now?” another fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see how the contract works out, considering Warren has never made a start in his career.
