The Pittsburgh Steelers and four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers have gotten off to a surprisingly hot start to the season. The Steelers are sitting in first place in the AFC North at 3-1.
Unfortunately, in Pittsburgh’s last game, a win in Dublin, Ireland, over the Minnesota Vikings, star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who the team traded for this past offseason, was forced out of the game with an injury. Ramsey tried to return to the field, but ultimately wasn’t up to things and exited again.
Now, there’s been an unfortunate update to Ramsey’s situation.
“Is Ramsey a tear as Dulac is saying?” one fan asked Steelers insider Nick Farabaugh on Twitter.
“A hamstring strain is by definition a tear, so yes,” Farabaugh confirmed.
Fans reacted to the brutal news on social media.
“I wish they would just leave it at strain or sprain instead of saying tear to instill fear in everyone. Leave it up to the players and doctors to disclose the severity or grade,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“A strain and a tear are two completely different injuries I don’t care if the definition makes it correct it’s never talked about in the same way. Just Dulac desperate to be right,” another fan added.
“A strain and a tear are different medically btw, a hospital will say a fracture and a break are the same too btw, it’s all designed to make money. Reality is different though,” someone else wrote.
It’ll be interesting to see when Ramsey can make his return to the field.
